Being a core member of Ecospend's commercial leadership team, my responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Leading the sales strategy for all areas of the public sector with immediate focus on the UK and international growth opportunities to follow;* Identifying, qualifying, and developing opportunities within the public sector and defining short, medium and long term strategies;* Working closely with the wider commercial team to lead and educate colleagues on best practice and sharing a clear vision for public sector growth opportunities;* Learning and maintaining in-depth knowledge of open banking technology, industry trends and competition.

The purpose of this role is to be a commercial trusted adviser to the relevant senior customers and wider teams within HMRC in order to enhance value and commercial outcomes by ensuring continuity and reliability of critical services as well as embracing and implementing innovation.I lead the development and implementation of the commercial Financial Services category strategy. This covers banking and payment services, debt management and BPO services (the list is not exhaustive). I am also responsible for providing leadership to the Corporate Services Category team and wider Commercial Directorate in HMRC.

Main duties of the job include but are not limited to the following:- identify and implement category strategies for areas to be addressed within the specific procurement plan approved by the Head of Category Management, Chief Procurement Officer and internal stakeholders;- maximise the use of Council's funds by identifying best practice and leveraging spend with the Council for the procurement of services;- establish and lead cross-functional teams to manage the development and implementation of the category strategies;- deliver category strategies including sourcing activities which generate benefits (including social value) and achieve financial savings targets through rigorous market analysis of category and sub-category areas;- strategic stakeholder relationship management for the purpose of proactive category management;- provide strategic commercial support and advise for transformational projects within the Council.Category Responsibility: HR (including but not limited to Temporary and Permanent Recruitment, Corporate Training, Advertising, Pensions Administration, Employee Benefits) and Professional Services (including but not limited to Financial Services, Legal Services, Consultancy, Debt Management).

The purpose of the role:- Co-ordinate category strategies for the Services Categories to be addressed within the specific procurement plan and agree the strategy with the Head of Category Management, Chief Procurement Officer and internal stakeholders.- Maximise the use of the Councils funds by identifying best practice and leveraging spend within the Council’s for the procurement categories managed.- Support delivery of category performance targets set by the Chief Procurement Officer and ensure delivery of the Council’s Commissioning and Strategic objectives for designated categories of expenditure- Support the establishment of best in class sourcing performance.- Provide advice and support for the senior management teams within the council and the Members.- Deputise for the Head of Category Management

Main duties of the job included procurement planning and forecasting, development and implementation of sourcing strategies across a wide range of category areas, supporting stakeholders in development of complex business cases, contract management activity and dispute resolution and delivering key procurement policies and practises within the organisation by working within PPF’s risk and value frameworks.Category Responsibility: Marketing and Communications, IT, HR, Professional Services, Office Services and Supplies.

The main responsibility was to implement compliant national strategic sourcing initiatives that ensured delivery of business plans and category strategies providing best-value contract opportunities for all HealthTrust Europe customers.Category Responsibility: Document Management Services (electronic documents and records management systems (EDRMS), managed print services, document storage and scanning services, hybrid mail services, third party print etc.).

As the Category Officer my key responsibilities were to support Category Managers in the delivery of agreed objectives in line with EU procurement legislation, Lancashire County Council's Standing Orders and the procurement strategy, to work with stakeholders to ensure their requirements and business needs were met and to collate key supplier and contract performance measurement data to mitigate risk and drive continuous improvement.Category Responsibility: Office Services and Supplies, Financial Services, Food (supporting role).
