I currently work full-time on the vascular access team at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Sarasota Memorial Hospital is a 3-time Magnet designated healthcare facility. As a vascular access nurse, I insert peripherally inserted central catheters, midline catheters, extended dwell catheters, access infusa-PORTs, and assist with difficult IV starts. I am proficient with vascular ultrasound and sterile technique. I have previous experience in the following nursing areas: critical care, post-anesthesia care unit, cardiac/telemetry, medical/surgical, and oncology. As an Intervention RN at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, I served as a house-wide resource for all units in the hospital. I responded to emergent situations in the hospital such as rapid responses and codes.

Iv Therapy

As a nurse on the IV Therapy team, I was resposible for inserted peripherally inserted central catheters, inserting IV catheters, accessing PORT's, and assisting nurses with other vascular access issues.

Float Rn/Picc Rn

As a float RN, I had direct patient care duties on medical, cardiac, surgical, PACU, and ICU units. As the PICC RN, my responsibilites included inserting peripherally inserted central catheters, inserting IV catheters, accessing PORTs, and a resource for nurses with other vascular access issues.
