Recently completed a two-year management programme with Red Carnation Hotels, gaining experience in all departments across the five star ‘Rubens at the Palace’ and ‘The Chesterfield Mayfair’ Hotel. During my programme I worked in Food and Beverage: bar service, meetings and events, afternoon tea, silver service restaurant work; Central Office Operations: People and Culture (HR), as part of the Staff Appreciation Committee; Rooms division: reception, as well as 6 months as Sales and Events Executive.Having experienced such a variety of positions in the hotel industry, I have graduated the programme with a sound understanding of hospitality operations as well as strong organisational, time management and people skills.

Throughout my time at the university of Bristol, I have been an active member of the volleyball club. I have taken on various responsibilities within the committee, notably as the Student Engagement, Equality and Wellbeing officer. Throughout COVID-19, students have suffered greatly from isolation, lack of social interactions and lack of motivation, having great effects on morale and student mental health. My role consists of engaging with members of the club to promote mental wellbeing, providing resources for those who may be experiencing mental health challenges and organising and promoting wellbeing workshops such as meditation to help students cope with the stress and anxiety they are experiencing at university. This role has been incredibly rewarding and has allowed me to develop my communication and organisation skills, and to become a more empathic person going forwards.

In my time at university, I have been an active member of the Volleyball Society, taking on multiple roles of responsibility in the committee. In my second year, I was elected the social secretary for the club, a role that consisted of organising, promoting and overseeing weekly social events held for our members, seeing roughly 30-40 attendees each week. I thoroughly enjoyed this role as it allowed me to meet new people in the club and develop various skills such as communication, leadership, time-management and people skills.
