This dissertation involved the extensive use of both primary and secondary research methods including the interview of curators of The Liverpool World Museum, The Manchester Museum, The Peoples' History Museum and the Whitworth Gallery. This dissertation also made use of more creative research methods including participatory practice and discussion-based research during craft and textile workshops.
