I worked as part of a small team where we were required to balance a number of tasks. We made, packaged, stocked and sold 15 different variations of fudge. I quickly learnt these new skills and I greatly enjoyed the experience of working with customers as part of a team.

I was responsible for creating presentations for the companies clients and distributing social media marketing. This entailed selecting photos, inputting them into software Social Pilot, creating a caption and scheduling the posts for various times during the weeks. I learnt the structure of the marketing and how the company wanted their clients posts to.

I worked closely on organising a variety of different large scale events. I was given the responsibility of ordering and conducting stock checks of equipment for the first few events that I worked on. I was later entrusted to create my own event, where I was responsible for structuring the event (which was a quiz), writing the quiz questions, formatting.

I was employed by Doorsteps throughout the duration of my gap year, during which I learnt many valuable skills. My role involved answering phones to take orders from customers, writing invoices and taking payments from customers. I would then order and organise external orders to insure they were delivered correctly. In addition to this, I served customers.
