I have a strong background in fermentation technology focusing on scale-down/up and bacterial physiology. Besides various fermentation systems, I am also familiar with rational strain design using whole genome, transcriptome and proteome analysis (both wet lab and data analysis steps).In my current role, I am working on fermentation process optimization and scaling up processes to production scale. I hold an MSc in Biotechnology and recently obtained my PhD degree from the Technical University of Denmark. My PhD project was an industrial PhD project partially funded by Innovation Fund Denmark and was carried out as a collaboration between industry (Glycom/DSM) and DTU. Sustainable projects always fill a top place in my heart, thanks to my BSc education at Aalborg University where my awareness was raised for the power of microbes and their key role in the battle for a more sustainable World. I have been working with bioethanol from lignocellulosic material as my BSc project and I had the opportunity to familiarize with various topics within sustainable biotechnology during my BSc and MSc.
