Darien EMS - Post 53 stands as the only EMS organization to be run and staffed by high school students 24/7 in the US. During my senior year alone, I committed over 2,000 hours of volunteer on-ambulance service to Post 53, with over 4,000 hours total throughout high school. I served as Post 53's President and Vice President of Finance while also holding the rank of EMT and Ambulance Driver. I now continue my service with Post 53 as a Graduate Reserve and Supervisor.

Followed a cardiologist during his day-to-day operations in the office. Interacted directly with patients and learned how to determine care plans for each patient. I witnessed treatment of different kinds of cardiac diseases and conditions. I also had the chance to observe procedures in the Stamford Hospital catheterization lab and occasionally joined other specialties for interesting cases.

Server as well as Hostess and Phone Crew during the summers for ~12 hours each week.

Worked an average of 30 hours/week during the summers of 2021, 2022, and 2023. Head Lifeguard and Assistant Pool Manager for the 2024 season (supervision, schedule management, chemical maintenance, and pool deck observation). As an EMT I handle all medical emergencies on the property during my shifts.

Research Assistant for the TEAM Plus study through UNC’s Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention under Dr. Candice Alick. TEAM Plus will assess the effectiveness of weight loss programs for Black adults over the course of three months.Leader of administrative duties, data logs, participant management, and assistant during research sessions.
