Led the development and execution of UnitedHealth Group's first ever Sustainability Report. Managed all financial aspects of Corporate Affairs. Instrumental in the establishment of the first Corporate Affairs function within UnitedHealth Group.

Executed all aspects of key External Affairs meetings, including the Annual Off-Site for more than 70 people and Monthly Touch Point Calls. Responsibilities included strategic agenda development, coordination of external participants, identification of team building and volunteering activities, and meeting execution.Managed the External Affairs’ annual business and budget planning process.Provided leadership to a team of ten Administrative Professionals; evolved the reporting structure for the Administrative Professionals.

Managed the operations and finances for the OSR and United Health Foundation, including tracking and reporting $55 million in charitable contributions for six consecutive years. Directed the implementation of two strategic systems to deliver key enterprise-wide programs.o Employee Giving Program – This Program allows employees’ the opportunity to make financial contributions any time of the year; new system implemented Q3 2014.Key activities included; transitioned over 40,000 payroll deduction transactions, designed and customized a new online donation site, created educational and promotional materials and led the communication of changes to key stakeholders, including executives, employees, and nonprofit partners.o Charitable Giving Tracker System – This system provides efficiencies in requesting, tracking and reporting enterprise-wide charitable contributions, including a robust grants management system for United Health Foundation; efforts initiated Q1 2015 and final phase launched in Q4 2016.

Responsible for the results of four annual giving campaigns, which reached more than 100,000 employees worldwide. Each campaign achieved year over year growth in participation and dollars raised. The campaign engaged 45,000 employees and raised more than $20.5 million, a 10% increase from prior year.

Developed the enterprise-wide Community Giving Request process for tracking and reporting charitable spend across nine dimensions; facilitated all charitable contributions in accordance with the Delegation of Authority policy. Led annual audit and tax return process for United Health Foundation with external audit firm.Managed all financial aspects for the Office of Social Responsibility and United Health Foundation, including budgets, forecasts and tracking of actual spend.

Audit & Business Risk Manager, led and supervised integrated audits teams up to 30 team members, in the financial service industry. Performed technical research on specific accounting transactions and verified that financial statements and SEC filings were prepared in accordance with SEC, regulatory and/or nonprofit accounting guidance. Evaluated risks and controls and provided recommendations to mitigate key risks for a Fortune 25 company. Corporate Social Responsibility Fellow Spent three months providing professional expertise to an emerging entrepreneur in Santiago, Chile. Learned business conduct in a different culture and developed relationships with Chilean business people. Featured in June 2007 issue of Minnesota Business magazine.
