Served as in house financial planner and quarterback for my parents. Managed small commercial real estate portfolio. Sourced and performed due diligence on real estate limited partnerships. Explained mechanisms of investment vehicles and complex tax and legal structures. Coordinated services of attorneys, accountants and other professionals, ensuring communication and effectiveness. Assisted with sale of two automobile dealerships and associated real estate.

Taught designated and integrated English Language Development (ELD) at program for Latin American newcomer immigrant students ages sixteen through nineteen. Designed lessons, materials and assessments customized for a majority SIFE (students with interrupted education) population using departmental and other resources as well as the Google Classroom platform (Slides, Docs, Forms) and the Canvas LMS. Monitored and assessed student progress and communicated with caregivers leveraging the Aeries platform. Supervised instructional aides in my classroom, and coordinated with on-site support staff to manage physical, social and emotional well-being of vulnerable population of students, many of whom had experienced recent trauma. Collaborated with staff to develop and implement program-wide scheduling, policies and events.

Trained new teachers as they completed MA TESOL degrees, fostering self-reflection through formative observations and ongoing individual and group sessions. Created and conducted in-service training workshops. Topics included techniques for leading whole class discussions, responding to oral errors, teaching with metaphor, prepared participation, and questioning techniques. Developed curriculum and materials for institute’s high-intermediate reading/writing and listening/speaking courses and GMAT elective for university bound international students. Aligned curriculum with student learning objectives. Led institute-wide diagnostic reading/writing test norming. Designed and maintained Moodle-based online learning management system for all upper-level classes. Ran conversation group program. Taught English for academic purposes courses as needed.
