Specifically, I am responsible for leading the workforce development strategy as it relates to Tooling U – SME’s learning and development products and services to help build capacity within local communities, regions and statewide initiatives. Through collaboration with stakeholders, we have developed innovative workforce solutions that help close the skills gap and meet the needs of the manufacturing community.

WIRE-Net is a non-profit economic development organization dedicated to improving the community through nurturing manufacturing and the jobs and prosperity that come with it. WIRE-Net is a problem solver. It works as a consultant, collaborator, referral source and hands-on provider in workforce development, growth and operational improvement initiatives, peer to peer and expert knowledge sharing, supply chain development, governmental assistance programs and urban redevelopment.As the Vice President of Workforce Development, I provided strategic leadership, management and execution of WIRE-Net’s workforce development programs, both adult & youth, in coordination with the Board’s Employment and Training Committee, the President and members of the Management Team. In addition, I supervised the implementation of WIRE-Net’s workforce development programs in accordance with grant and stakeholder requirements. I directed and supported WIRE-Net’s job placement program (WorkSource) to grow program and increase unrestricted revenues, increased the number of youth that participated in manufacturing awareness & training programs through Max Hayes High School, and increased the number of adults participating in manufacturing programs at partner educational institutions. Responsible for identifying and building key workforce development relationships with appropriate partners in the community such as MAGNET, the Employment Connection, Towards Employment, Team NEO & other stakeholders in the community. Documented and reported all program results in compliance with funding requirements.
