Responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the Tech’s strategic plan in collaboration with the CEO, the board, and the leadership team. Determines appropriate impact measures and advises on new or expanded strategies for increasing the Tech’s impact. Oversees three core teams responsible for the creation and delivery of the Tech’s learning offerings – Interactive Learning Programs, Inclusive Research and Development, and Learning Product Development. These offering encompass exhibitions, public and community programs, educator resources and development, and other learning experiences onsite, online, and in the community. Serves as the second in command for the Tech and oversees a annual budget of over 2 million.

Responsible for ensuring the effective development and delivery of programs that make learning effective in a museum setting, school settings and community settings that serve the Tech’s 400,000 visitors and field trip students, and partners in the community. Oversees and provides vision and direction for the Bowers Institute, the Tech’s professional development arm dedicated to empowering educators to effective lead engineering design activities for their own students. Oversees the development new exhibitions. Serves as a member of the Tech’s senior leadership team and manages an annual budget of over $2 million.

Directs the public science center at the Lawrence Hall of Science a hands-on science center in Berkeley California serving more than 300,000 people both onsite and offsite, with more than 10,000 sq ft of exhibit space, 7 classroom spaces including the Ingenuity Lab, an engineering design tinkering studio, and the Animal Discovery Room, home to more than 50 species, a fleet of five vans bringing science and math programs to schools and communities on a daily basis, and a satellite location in Vallejo, California. Responsible for strategic planning, budgeting and budget monitoring, fundraising, and supervision of senior science center managers. Serves as a member of the Hall’s senior leadership team.

Directed the development and execution of public programming for museums visitors, teen programming, and an outreach science theater and festival program traveling to schools. Wrote grants to support the expansion of programming.
