About Gretchen Bigelow
I am a native of the San Francisco Bay Area which I still call home. I am a family person who adores animals and homemade meals. In my free time I enjoy rollerskating, painting, and crocheting.I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with my bachelors in Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology. I researched under Dr. Dan Bercovici synthesizing ynamides. I also previously research under Dr. Eric Kantorowski studying the kinetics of ring-openings of cyclopropanes. I have completed my Emergency Medical Technician courses and am working on receiving my state and country certifications. I intend to pursue a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies after obtaining experience in the medical field.I have always been intrigued by bioethics and have been frustrated learning about inequity in health care. I hope to join the medical field so that I can help anyone seeking care, regardless of their background, feel they have an ally when receiving the care they need.
