I successfully transitioned all billing serviced to a new company and was able to lower our cost and immediately increase our collection rates. I headed up a smooth transition for the practice from paper charting to EHR and ensured no losses in productivity and revenue streams throughout the transition. I saw our founding partner through a successful but difficult retirement transition and was responsible for recruiting and acquiring his replacement, a challenging task that took out-of-state recruiting and networking skills to find the right candidate. On-boarding tasks for the physician included credentialing challenges with privileges needed at 5 facilities with a target date 90 days form date of hire, I managed to get this goal accomplished within our 65 days of date of hire.One of the highlights of my position was the project of locating and securing a new location for the move of the entire outpatient clinic to a new facility. I was solely responsible for finding the real estate property ,creating and managing budgets, contracts and hiring of contractors to create a functional medical practice. As project manager, I worked with contractors and vendors to build out, wire and install voice, data networks, to comply with regulations and compliance standards and fully outfit the facility . During my on-boarding with Rocky Mountain Infectious Disease Consultants (listed above), I was asked by one of the Partnering Physicians if I would consider taking on the Practice Administration of his wife's Endocrinology practice. I transitioned this practice to a new comprehensive outsourced billing company to increase collections. I implemented the change to a new practice management and scheduling system. I worked successfully to implement much needed HR policies and improved talent acquisitions and retainment. The practice owner decided to join with UCHealth and I headed up the transition to their organization over a 7mo period. This project included working closely with CHMG/UCHealth directors and department managers to see that all facets of the practice and physician on-boarding would go smoothly and without interruption to patient care while simultaneously transitioning to an EHR system from paper charts on the same date as the go-live date for the acquisition. It was a pleasure to work with such a great team on their side and to see the staff and the physician make a positive and productive move. Operational management of Gastroenterology Specialists, Cardiovascular Specialists and Internal Medicine Physicians. I was instrumental in launching a new service line for an Interventional Cardiovascular practice that included initial outfitting for surgical outpatient procedure rooms, equipment, furnishings and staffing. I effectively managed and launched marketing initiatives, to create marketing materials and community print advertisements to announce the new physician and practice's services in a new market. I organized community and Chamber of Commerce events to market this practice successfully.During my time with Centura Health I led several Projects including the relocation of a community based Internal Medicine practice across town from a satellite location in Lafayette, CO back to the Main Hospital Campus in Louisville, CO.This project was under strict budgetary restrictions and deadlines and involved staffing obstacles. I was able to relocate the clinic and retain all staff during the transition with a positive and productive outcome for all. This role contained significant Physician Recruiting responsibilities for the GI Department, as well as Min-Level Practitioners for the Internal Medicine and Cardiology Groups.I was responsible for all fiscal budget and reporting of metrics for all practices and provided constant feedback and reporting to our senior executive team.

This Regional Position was newly created within the company and involved management of its 16 clinics comprised of 8 Primary Care/ Family Medicine Clinics and 8 Urgent Care Clinics. Under my leadership each clinic expanded services to include: Occupational Medicine, Physical Therapy and Psychology services at each site. During these initiatives Physician and Min-Level Provider recruitment was part of my responsibilities to ensure adequate Clinician coverage and credentialing at all sites. I was responsible for supervising clinical site managers and their staffing models, hiring selections and performance evaluations. Developing and implementing all policies and procedures. Effectively managed billing and coding procedures and policies, increased collections, safety protocols and improved compliance with regulatory requirements. Led the organization through Joint Commission Accreditation for the first time for all 16 clinics.I was recognized for many specialty projects that included construction oversight and improvements to our facilities to provide better safety for radiology services, activations of new locations and increased market share.. I also enjoyed developing community outreach programs and relationships with corporate partners and City Government, including Fire and Rescue departments to improve our services to our communities.

I joined VCA to take on a Practice slated to be permanently closed due to a declining customer base, neglected facilities and high staff over turn. I was given a target of 8mo to determine to fate of this practice and its long-time location in this Denver neighborhood. The facilities were over grown with weeds and in serious need of repairs but with little to no budget to get it done. I launched community outreach programs to bring renewed interest and awareness to this location that many thought had already been closed.With simple but effective marketing strategies I was able to bring new business in the door. I worked with the remaining staff to increase job satisfaction and provided much needed customer service training to improve moral and incentives for new business referrals. I was successful in turning around this almost forgotten gem of a vet hospital and was recognized at our regional retreat by our director and executive management for bringing high standards as well as revenue growth back and they removed the slated closure date and pledged more funding for a new roof. After the success of this project I was tasked with assisting the acquisitions director in transitioning newly purchased veterinary centers into our company model. This involved working to bring staff on-board through our HR system and assess and implement staffing changes to meet our company’s metrics. I over saw the transition our point-of sale software and EHR systems from their own to our proprietary company systems. During this time, I was managing 2 hospitals and transitioning 3 more. I enjoyed the challenge and seeing the results of my work.
