My name is Grey Crisanto (they/them) and I believe in doing work that is meaningful. I want to use my math education in a way that is practical, physical, and positively affects the community. I thrive on problem solving, and am passionate about serving communities by providing them with vital infrastructure and access to water.I am grateful how my bachelor’s in math has prepared me for engineering. Pivoting away from teaching middle and high school math, civil engineering and public service has given me a new sense of practicality and fulfillment. I am mixed Vietnamese and black, and I am originally from Southern California. I grew up 2 miles away from Disneyland in Anaheim. I moved to San Jose to experience Northern California life, weather, and diversity while working on a master’s degree in Civil Engineering at SJSU. I am just beginning my second year and am preparing to graduate in Spring 2025. In my free time, I enjoy playing board games, cozy video games, and exploring my new city!
