About Grey T.

I have worked in a number of capacities in the technical world (engineering and R&D), from systems engineer to software developer to mechanical designer to laser effects to RF systems to machinist to marketing lead and start-up leader. There are three gifts I bring to every opportunity: 1) I can explain arcane technical information to a broad audience, 2) I see relationships between different parts of systems quickly and clearly (this stems from a keen geometric/spatial relationship intuition), and 3) I explore multiple options far enough forward and backward to understand consequences and context which enables me to recommend better paths forward (part of the "Strategic" strength from StrengthFinders).     Cartacoustics, LLC maps the world's underground infrastructure. We develop, design, manufacture and sell field equipment to collect acoustic data and we develop the data processing software to analyze the acoustic signals and turn them into a geo-registered map of the underground infrastructure. The acoustic approach overcomes two of the primary limitations of other mapping and locating methods: acoustics works in all soils and soil conditions, and it finds all the infrastructure, including the non-conducting pvc and plastic pipes. We have sold several survey jobs, euipment and maps, and are seeking funding for expanding our manufacturing.
