I have designed and am now implementing course content for this foundational component of the Sustainability Management Master's program at Harvard Extension. It is also part of the Sustainable Cities Certificate. Students are from a variety of backgrounds - from recent undergrads to seasoned professionals. Many sectors are represented, including AEC, Oil & Gas, Higher Ed, Non-Profit Management, and Real Estate Development.I am curating a wide variety of content and bringing in multiple specialized guest speakers. The overarching objective is to facilitate leadership development and hone professional capacities to deliver creative solutions in the real estate and urban policy realm. At the end of the day, our communities need energized agents to link best practice with advocacy for policy that leads to market transformation and the enhancement of resilience capacities.Global environmental changes mean every city and every community needs to devote more resources to better design for the future. The course will enable students to gain insight and learn best next steps. It is also a great networking opportunity. These folks are super motivated to achieve!
