Is it hard to balance having a mind steeped in logic and data-driven outcomes with a heart for social change? This is a question I've been asked by many over the last decade, but not necessarily in so many words! I'm natural leader who is passionate about leveraging data for good -- from utilizing historical data to understand our present position, to pinpointing optimal areas for pivoting which can improve our futures. My educational background in humanities and social sciences from a liberal arts institution has taught me that the ways we structure the questions we ask directly impact the answers we can, and will, find. With over a decade of experience working in social services, non-profits, and participant-facing agencies, I'm well aware of how data can make or break a program's deliverables, how to translate complex and big-picture observations into terms tailored to various stakeholders, and how to stay unfeignedly motivated to pursue goals, no matter what I'm up against. Whether its interacting with street homeless clients at their encampments, pitching programmatic changes to leadership, or presenting findings to funders, I meet people where they're at, with respect and an inquisitive mind. I feel energized at the thought of applying my unique perspectives into a remote Insight Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or Project Management role. I am a certified Data Analyst through Springboard Analytics' Data Analytics career track and have worked as a Data Analyst & Insight Manager since mid-2022. I look forward to jumping feet-first into future roles which combine my passions for data analysis and quality assurance. When I’m not on the job, I love staying active outdoors, working on my vegan cooking skills, and indulging my love for speculative and science fiction! I also volunteer my time with several mutual aid projects and have been involved in independent writing and copyediting endeavors for 15 years.
