About Grey Robertson
After graduating from James Madison University in 2012, I left for the West Coast and built a life and career for myself in Los Angeles teaching, acting, and continuously learning. I worked in retail and food service positions to support myself while constantly studying at Los Angeles Acting Studios such as Speiser/Sturges Acting Studio, Playhouse West, and Upright Citizens Brigade. These studios provided me with endless insight and experience to achieve success as an actor in Los Angeles. During the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I set out to Minnesota for a new adventure and to earn my Master's Degree in Theatre. While in graduate school, I have worked continuously teaching actors through my assistantship with Minnesota State University, Mankato and my professional relationship with Speiser/Sturges Acting Studio. I am excited to be seeking a full-time teaching position where can I put my acting skills, writing and editing skills, and passion for teaching to good use educating the next generation.

CurrentI have had the pleasure of teaching for Speiser/Sturges Acting Studio since 2020. After several years of attending the studio, I began teaching in person and online classes continuously and love the gift of passing along the lessons I learned to a whole new generation of students.

I began my graduate assistantship during the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic and while taking on a graduate student's workload. I initially started working in the Theatre Department's Costume Shop and had the opportunity to learn a whole new set of skills. Once I began teaching, I feel I really found my calling in teaching young people the magic of theatre.
