Growing up in diverse cultures, not only did Dhiraj understand the importance of lifelong learning and resilience, but he also understood the importance and appreciation of interdependence!He never imagined he would become a teacher. After graduating from medical school, it was a volunteering programme in the mountainous region of Nepal, where he had the revelation - even education could save lives!Next to his work as a teacher of science, mathematics, health management and social care in a secondary school in Hong Kong, he has also worked in other organizations which echo his beliefs of education, culture, and social justice.He is also a co-founder of the social organization, Health Connection. The goal of this organization is to bridge the language and culture barrier between healthcare organizations and the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. For the last 3 years, he has also been supervising the Master of Public Health students from Hong Kong University for their practicum. Currently, he is pursuing Postgraduate International Teacher Programme at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Belgium and actively looking for work opportunities in the field of education.
