I joined the team of IDEA consult in May 2006, and worked as a senior consultant for the unit ‘Competitiveness and Innovation’. I was mainly involved in market and sector studies, both at the regional/national level and at the EU level. Further, I was part of the research team executing a number of sectoral competitiveness studies (eco-industry, ceramics and tourism) in the context of a Framework Contract of the EC DG Enterprise and Industry. I also gained experience in the field of intergovernmental innovation policy and the European Research Area, for example by being involved in some of the evaluation studies on the Sixth Framework Programme of the EC and the study on the co-ordination and co-operation with and between Inter-governmental Research Organisations (IRO’s). Main activities: research and advice in the field of competition and innovation policy, analysis and advice on entrepreneurship and competitiveness, sector studies of traditional and for hybrid sectors and evaluation studies concerning the impact of (new) regulation and other policy instruments on firms and society.See also: www.ideaconsult.be

Research assistant at the Department of Economics at the Centre of Economic Studies in the research team of Monetary and Information Economics under the supervision of professor P. Van Cayseele. Research topics: competition policy, game theory models, price evolutions.
