Raised on the captivating Northern Beaches in Sydney, New South Wales, I spent my childhood surfing and pursuing my passion for Rugby League. At the young age of eight, I was presented with a remarkable opportunity to join the esteemed Canberra Raiders junior development squad. Although I did not ultimately pursue this path, the experience instilled in me the values of teamwork, determination, and the pursuit of excellence.At age twelve, I embarked on a new chapter by relocating to Launceston, Tasmania, where I attended the renowned Scotch Oakburn College. This distinguished educational institution played a significant role in shaping my character and fostering my personal growth. Throughout my academic journey, I was fortunate to receive numerous awards and accolades, recognising my achievements both academically and athletically, which further fuelled my drive for success.My journey in the IT field commenced at Mercury IT, a pivotal milestone in my professional development. During my time there, I served as a Systems Support Engineer and Level 1 Team Leader, where I adeptly managed a team and resolved a wide array of IT challenges. This experience not only provided me with a solid foundation in IT support and customer service but also nurtured my growing interest in Cyber Security. Continuing my career progression, I joined ONGC as a Systems Engineer, actively contributing to the planning and implementation of secure systems. Collaborating closely with colleagues, I participated in comprehensive cyber security assessments, identified process improvements, and developed documentation to foster knowledge sharing within the organisation. This role deepened my understanding of the criticality of robust security measures and the significance of regulatory compliance.Presently, I am delighted to serve as a Junior Security Engineer at ONGC, where I channel my technical expertise and unwavering dedication to plan and implement effective security solutions. Specialising in various Microsoft security implementations, including conditional access, data loss prevention, Intune, and vulnerability scanning, I empower clients to fortify their cybersecurity posture. Moreover, I assist organisations in adopting frameworks such as the Essential 8 to enhance their overall security readiness. My commitment to delivering exceptional customer service ensures that I promptly address and resolve security incidents and concerns, establishing trust and confidence among clients.
