I was the editor of Weekend, the pop culture and entertainment section of the Indiana Daily Student. In this summer position, the staff is very small. I was responsible for overseeing the contributing writers and reading and editing their content. I provided the written and visual content for the features, which I had to come up with every week. I worked to deadlines and designed the layout and presentation of my pages. I was responsible for uploading the content of my section to the web through two web applications that we used during the summer. I used Adobe InCopy, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop and Microsoft Word regularly. I gained immense experience about many facets of working in a newsroom and generated successful, unique, and popular content.
