Building learning experiences for students and professionals around the world - My team is fully AWS native, meaning we build our application on the very same cloud services that our company created. I've deployed multiple services that connect thousands of daily learners to interactive learning experiences. These services are fully CI/CD with daily deployments to >5 worldwide regions and automatic failover, including real-time metrics and alarms.

At Merch Data, we developed a web application (www.merchdata.io) built for Amazon Merch Sellers. Using React.js, Node.js, and Python stack, the web application organizes information on top-selling products and assists merchants in selling their products through the use of a simple machine learning algorithm (TF-IDF vectorization) and n-gram parsing. I architected the app's backend and continue to maintain it, along with an automated Selenium (now Puppeteer) data scraper that can load and analyze 4,000 pages every minute on Amazon Marketplace while avoiding bot detection. Delphinus Medical Technologies LLC is a biotech startup developing a cutting edge scanner for breast cancer using ultrasound technology. I contributed to the control software (Python & Embedded C) of the system and general infrastructure for the company in an agile/scrum software development environment. Major projects that I managed and contributed to include:- remote statistic tracking of the scanners in the field using Thingworx IoT tools- remote deployment, installation, and setup of scanners through SaltStack- scanner lighting integration and control- integration and calibration of water pressure sensors in multiple water basins- exposing various configuration options through GUI and service interfaces- owning multiple software validation documents for FDA compliance

Michigan Exploration Laboratoy (MXL) engineers are full-stack embedded engineers responsible for building industry-standard satellites. Currently, I am the Command and Data Handling team lead for the MC9 mission launching in 2018. We work with industry leaders like NASA and JPL to launch small payloads into space. I design PCBs using Altium and I am responsible for producing custom electronics for every flight. I am also the database administrator for our laboratory ground station.

I am developing embedded software to be used in automobile electronic control units (ECUs). This position requires experience in node communication via CAN protocol and master-slave UART. Two of my individual projects included compiling test suites and updating the team to the newest CANtech test software. Every day I worked with real-time deadlines for software updates and releases.

My days at AMD were spent producing test programs for the Xbox 1S APUs. I was required to compile and debug tests performed on the computer chips in order to obtain the highest possible yield. I regularly had hands on experience using Automated Testing Equipment.

Research and Development - I spent my summer at Dow Chemical on a multi-disciplinary engineering team in the research and development department. Our project was a fully automated system which was capable of collecting environmental data and sending it to the cloud for analysis. I worked with multiple different sensors, various embedded systems, and different forms of wireless communication.

My department was in charge of maintaining the integrity of the electrical grid that powered the entire plant. Every day was spent in high voltage environments of the industrial park. I had personal projects which involved incoming voltage analytics and re-wiring of different machines. I also helped teach arc flash safety classes.
