The Griffin plays host to an eclectic and worldly mix of celebrities, artists, designers, and well-heeled patrons looking for a dapper crowd, specialty drinks, dancing, and a decadent escape to a bygone era.WHAT IS A GRIFFIN:A griffin is a mythical creature with the wings of an eagle and the body of a lion. Historically, it has been a symbol of divine power, known for finding and guarding treasures of gold.DESIGN:The Griffin’s opulent decor pays tribute to one of the one of the most iconic eras in America’s history: the Industrial Revolution. A hybrid modern-day marriage of Steam Punk–cum–Age of Innocence salon, the result is an intimate jewel box filled with fringe-lined velvet banquets, gilded tables, rose-antique mirrors, and reclaimed herringbone floors. Filigree detailing accentuates the space, and a glittering centerpiece of crystal chandeliers hanging overhead sets the cinematic mood for the room. The Griffin was designed by Marc Dizon of the boutique collective Lewis & Dizon.SERVICE:Cocktail & food service begins at 7:00pm. Bottle service starts at 11pm when the lounge transforms into a night club. In addition to traditional bottle service and mixed drinks, The Griffin also offers specialty punch bowls, a chic alternative to bottles.
