I am currently an Associate Financial Analyst at Harman International. I have worked there since Feburary 2023 during my studies as well as over summer. Through my time here I have learned various tasked related to corporate finance and have mastered many tasks in my area of focus of warranty. I create and manage the lag time calculations for the Lifestyle division and work closely with the Finance Manager with other tasks related to warranty. I was an Online Sales Manager and Product Acquisition Specialist for V&A Studios and worked from 2018-2023. I helped develop and grow the company from its infancy and have mastered many different skills throughout my time there. I went from the first employee doing menial tasks to managing a team of six employees, taking on HR responsibilities, sourcing product acquisition of over $400,000, and vetting and approving product listings and prices. During the summer of 2019, I took a break from my position at V&A Studios in order to take on a different challenge of being an intern for the Head Engineer at TAE Technologies. This internship forced me outside of my comfort zone and made me learn a lot about the world of science I had not yet experienced. While my time at TAE Technologies was only over the summer I reveled in the opportunity to learn about the operations of the company as well as learn some of the daily tasks of an engineer. All of these job opportunities have taught me a lot about myself as well as my goals in life. While TAE Technologies taught me that engineering is probably not what I want to do forever, it taught me about the excitement of new technology and innovation as well as how company culture affects the efficiency of a workplace. Through my time at V&A Studios I have learned a lot, but most importantly is my love for startups and finance. I worked with V&A Studios from the very beginning and was able to be a part of huge growth and change within a company and learned the necessity of being able to think on my feet and make decisions that affect other people. I also learned a lot about being a leader. Being the first employee means I have been there for every other employee we have hired and have had to learn the best way to lead different people. Through my time at Harman I have learned a lot about finance on a grander scale and working within a corporate environment. I have learned a lot more about the technical aspects of business and finance through my work and mentors.
