Griffin Carter Email and Phone Number
On July 8th, 2011, the final mission of the American Space Shuttle program took place. STS-135 launched with 4 astronauts on board and spent a total of 13 days in space before returning to Earth. The average cost of a shuttle mission at the time was around $450,000,000, which broke down to roughly $10,000 per kilogram per launch. For our society to one day become space faring, we need to develop propulsion systems that are far more efficient than what is available today. I decided to pursue aerospace engineering because I am passionate about propulsion and want to aid in the development of systems that will one day send us beyond Earth. I have been fascinated by the technological developments made in the field of rocket propulsion during the last decade and am eager to see what the future holds.
