🙋🏼 Hello! I'm Charlotte, a lecturer in psychology at the University of Gloucestershire with a strong foundation in mixed-methods research and a drive to promote digital inclusion and wellbeing in underserved communities. Personal Overview:• I conduct impactful and translational research focussing on digital inclusion and accessibility and the impact of this on social inclusion and wellbeing, particularly among underserved communities (e.g., older adults in residential care).• I collaborate with teams of computer science researchers to develop and test a novel, accessible smart device to serve as a companion for isolated older adults with limited digital skills.• I engage in teaching, course development, and team leadership as the Module Lead for Individual Differences at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level. As part of my continuous professional development, I have recently achieved Fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy.Examples of Previous and Ongoing Research Projects:• A scoping review of over 20 academic papers, summarising the parasocial relationships formed with smart speakers (i.e., who forms these relationships, how are they classified, what are the effects of these).
