Stress Analysis- A320neo: analysis to support design of thrust reverser composite bond panels (translating sleeve) and associated metallic fittings. Also performed analysis to support dispositions of various manufacturing defects and repairs.- A350: analysis to support design of thrust reverser composite blocker doors and associated metallic fittings.Engineering Automation- Developed loads database solution to factor & combine Nastran results from hundreds of load cases and store them in a database for fast querying and surveying by the stress analysts.- Developed a standard fatigue analysis tool that incorporated a library of material data, automatic spectrum development, rainflow cycle counting, and cumulative damage analysis. Developed with Excel and VBA, it used Excel cell formula as much as possible to ensure transparency and simplify validation.- Developed various other Excel tools & templates for standard analysis, such as composite bolt hole bearing/bypass (BJSFM), composite bolt pull-thru (and core crush), HyperSizer application utilities.Integration- Member of thrust reverser integration team assisting in construction, checking and running of finite element loads models for the A320neo nacelle.- Documented fatigue analysis methodologies for the various types of nacelle fatigue analysis.- Provided training and mentoring for various stress analysis tools and requirements associated with the A320neo thrust reverser analysis.

Stress Analysis- Gulfstream G650 business jet: Analysis to support design of metallic support fittings for the main landing gear, spoilers, and ailerons (6 month relocation to Spirit Aerosystems in Tulsa, OK).- JSF F-35: Analysis to support design of Center Fuselage metallic frames and composite bellmouth skins.- JSF F-35: Analysis and Documentation of Center Fuselage Subsystem brackets and fittings.- Airbus A320: Analysis and documentation for wing skin Structural Repair Manual (3 month relocation to GKN in Weston-super-Mare, England).- Airbus A380: Finite Element modelling, analysis and optimization of Fixed Trailing Edge composite panels (utilizing Patran/Nastran).- Airbus A340: Analysis and documentation to support wing static Check Stress and Structural Repair Manual substantiation.Engineering Automation- Member of small team that developed a Finite Element Results post processor (.NET application) to quickly survey and manipulate Nastran FE results (scale, align, average, filter, max/min, combine, compare, etc.)- Developed .NET client application to aid creation of PDF stress reports. The application allows overlaying of report templates onto any document (Excel, MathCad, etc.)- Developed Excel VBA macro to automate bolt group analysis of joints with defective bolts. The macro iterated through all combinations of defective and non-defective bolts to determine the critical margin for the joint.- Developed code and various macros to aid interpretation and manipulation of Finite Element results.Integration- Integration Engineer on JSF F-35 Center Fuselage Stress and Engineering Automation activities on-site at Northrop Grumman, El Segundo, California (1 year, 9 month relocation).-- Involved in daily communication with NGC managers and engineers, and GKN engineers in Australia.-- Provided training sessions and general assistance for Automation tools developed by GKN Australia.
