EdgGuide is a system that helps navigate blind or visually impaired people through a public space like airports, aquariums, museums, etc. This system is composed of a Bluetooth Mesh Network, which is comprised of wall-mounted 'beacons' and 'tags' that are attached to the user.The purpose of our internship project, the Autocalibration Tool, was to vastly reduce installation costs in the context of setting up this system of beacons and tags in any commercial space. The absolute position, in XYZ coordinates must be known for every beacon in the system, but if the scale is large, manually measuring distances between beacons and using math to convert into coordinates would have a substantial cost.Our project requires 4 beacons with known coordinates, and uses the Bluetooth technology to find the distance between the unknown beacons in meters. This measurement data is then used with position solving algorithms, hill climb or gradient descent, to find the absolute positions of all beacons in a system of any size. Show less

Fostered community for upperclassmen by hosting community building events, and holding 1-on-1's with around 50 residents. Also held desk and overnight phone duty throughout the semester.

Taken as a class through Colorado School of Mines to learn about the Agile and Scrum process used in the industry. Worked with a client who is an Uber Employee and Mines graduate to create a self-documenting automation engine proof of concept.

Worked as both a TA and as a mentor who had 1-on-1's 3 times a semester for ~40 mentees. Also graded homework, exams, and held office hours.

A conversational job where visitors of the state park were given insight and trail recommendations, and logistics were handled regarding the upkeep of the park.
