Variety is the spice of life, and I can never seem to get enough.After captaining the Australian Schoolboys Baseball team through the US and Canada when I was 17, I received an overly generous scholarship to study and play in the United States. A few years later, and with a couple of degrees under my belt, I moved back to Australia and began my career in digital marketing. Rising to the Head of Client Services within the first three years of my career, a couple of major surgeries derailed everything and triggered an impressive quarter-life crisis. Somehow, I decided the best thing was to ride a bicycle for 12 months across the South American continent; sleeping in a tent. With a huge passion for the ocean and it’s incredible creatures, I pivoted from client care to animal care, working as a diver within the tanks of Sydney Aquarium feeding the sharks, rays and penguins underwater each day.Covid killed off that career, and I thrust myself back into the world of marketing by founding an agency alongside two freelancer colleagues. Chunk Duck was born in the same year I became a dad, and I’ve come to love the juggle of parenthood and working from home with squeals and giggles in the next room.On the weekend, you’ll find me pushing a pram to the local markets or riding my mountain bike through the conversation park of our lovely little community in Eumundi.
