I completed my HR Summer 2020 Internship with ExxonMobil Corporation's global Talent Mobility Organization. The internship got condensed to seven weeks due to COVID-19, but I exceeded expectations in the allotted time frame. I accomplished my eight-year anniversary with Monical's Pizza this past April. My father has worked with the company for 27 years. Monical's Pizza is like a second family to me.Monical's has provided me with steady employment, taught me how to be disciplined and committed, and allowed me to form great relationships with my customers and coworkers over the years.As a waitress, I execute a full range of duties including: training new employees, serving an average of 40 tables per day, and cultivating business relationships to drive brand reputation.

I wanted to do more for the company that has done so much for my family. At the time, I was pursuing a degree in public relations with a focus on social media data analytics. I noticed the Monical's Pizza social media needed improvement. I reached out to the corporate office and offered my services as a social media intern. After I graduated from Illinois State University, I embarked on the journey to HR. I accepted a position as an HR Marketing Coordinator for a CNC manufacturing company. I operated as the department head for both human resources and marketing functions. I knew the field of PR required knowledge over AP Style. In addition, I enjoy writing in my free time. Therefore, I applied to be a features reporter for my undergraduate University's newspaper. This position required me to write three to six newspaper articles each week. Each article required two sources; therefore, I was conducting six to 12 interviews with the public to get content for the articles. I was promoted to features editor after being in the position for five months.

My first internship in undergrad was with Hearts at Home as a media and product resource intern. I complied situational analyses to reach audiences more effectively; created strategic communication plans aligned with business strategies; crafted compelling press kits consistent to Hearts at Home brand; and integrated first trial of Google AdWords.
