Operations Director for what is known as the Flashpoint Group, which owns and operate four climbing walls and two trampoline parks across the South of the UK. In 2012 I joined a new climbing wall called Redpoint Bristol as the Centre Manger, I had over a decade of experience working in climbing walls and the outdoor industry and had 2 years of management experience working for Decathlon at the time. This project went very well, developing a great community spirit and financial stability, so much that we expanded 18months later into the adjacent property. In 2015 we opened a small bouldering wall in London call Hackney Wick Boulder Project. I am very proud of this small but vibrant community hub. At the end of 2018 we bought two Trampoline Parks out of administration. Freedog Bristol and Swindon. This was a great challenge, turning these failing companies around. With a mix of operational changes and investment we are now in a good position (even though 2020 has added some complexity). The biggest changes we brought into these sites was to build a bouldering wall in each of them, Flashpoint Bristol and Swindon which now bring in a huge community of adult climbers, diversifying the kids market already captured by the Trampoline Parks. I am passionate about climbing and the self reliance it brings. My focus at work is to use the success of the companies to support our teams and the community that use our facilities.
