Wayne leads the teams within Bango responsible for Software Engineering and Project Delivery, and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of the business, where we help merchants and payments providers thrive inside the Bango circle. Appointed to the role in July 2020, Wayne joined Bango in January 2020 as Program Director leading some of Bango's key strategic engagements and delivering internal change management programs.Wayne joined Bango following his role as COO at Velocix, a company he spent over 10 years in, holding a number of senior leadership positions as it went through its journey of integration into Alcatel-Lucent and then Nokia, from its origins as a startup business in Cambridge. Part of the team that drove the spin out from Nokia, and having helped drive the transition to new ownership and adoption of new operating practices.Wayne has over 20 years experience in vertical software businesses, and has held leadership positions in Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent, Velocix and Search Technologies. Wayne has a passion for building high performing teams, working in rapidly evolving technology markets, and building strong and long lasting relationships with customers.

Delighted to be working temporarily with such a great team in Bango, and on some exciting Internal and External Projects. Loving my time here, and keeping me busy whilst I continue my search for a long term role and the right opportunity.Following almost 12 years with my previous company (Velocix/Nokia/ALU), and having helped lead a huge amount of change in recent years, the opportunity presented itself for me to exit the company, and start a new chapter in my career.I helped orchestrate, execute and then transition to a new operating model (large carve out from Nokia), and with the business successfully transferred to new leadership, we were able to shake hands and part on great terms. Its always hard to say goodbye, but I believe that when you do, it should be a 'Good' goodbye, and this was.So I am now looking for my next challenge, and want to take the time to find the 'right' role, not just 'a' role. Whilst I wait for that to come along, you'll find me busy with consulting work, but open to discuss ideas of interest.

On the 1st of January 2019, Nokia completed the sale of its Video Business Unit to Volaris (part of Constellation Software).As part of the management team that help lead this change, I was proud to assume the role of Chief People Officer in this exciting new chapter of our business, and in April 2019 was asked to extend my responsibilities in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer.Velocix is a new company, but with a long history, customer base, and pedigree as a leader in the video distribution and content delivery space.As Chief Operating Officer, I am responsible for all employee matters within Velocix, including talent development, professional and personal development, and helping to ensure a world class culture that is both rewarding to be a part of, and also ensures high performance and exceptional customer satisfaction. I also take on day to day operational responsibility for activities across the Senior Leadership Team, working with and supporting some exceptional colleagues as we drive our business forwards.With many years working in Technical Consulting, Professional Services, Program Delivery, Presales and running large technical teams across the breadth of the business. This role brings with it new challenges and opportunities that I am very excited about. At Velocix, our purpose is to make video personal. Not only personal to those consuming content powered by a Velocix solution, but personal to each and every person working in our team. These are exciting times in our industry, and Velocix is an exciting company to be part of.

Responsibility for the Customer Engineering & Transformation Office function globally for the Video Business unit of Nokia. This includes Technical Consulting, Technical Delivery, Program Management, Commercial Tendering, Customer R&D, Test Services, and Customer Support.It also includes responsibility for the Senior Leadership function of organisational improvement and transformation, as we continually innovate and evolve business processes and ways of working to maintain a competitive advantage.

Following the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent by Nokia at the beginning of 2016, I continue to work in the established Video Business Unit leading Video Systems Integration.

Velocix was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent in the summer of 2009, and is now a wholly owned subsidiary.

Joined out of university as a junior consultant working within software delivery and Benefits Management methodology for investment appraisal of IT solutions.Primarily focused around solutions powered by Lotus Notes.
