Technical AssociateUniversity Of Rochester 2008 - 2014In the laboratory of Dr. Philip Fay, I was involved in projects examining the role of coagulation Factor VIII and its various partners, including thrombin, Factor IXa, and Factor X. I utilized mammalian and insect expression systems and a site-directed mutagenesis approach to determine specific intra- and inter-molecular interactions of Factor VIII through surface plasmon resonance, mass spectrometry, and kinetic approaches. Collaboration with team members as well as independent project work lead to a number of publications, and presentation at an American Society of Hematology meeting. I also served as laboratory manager, responsible for maintenance of the lab, training of staff, and safety. -
