I am one of the main lecturers within the department that focuses on games development. I teach across our FE and HE game course. I am also the program lead for the Extended Diploma in Games Development and the newly created course Foundation Diploma in ESports. My responsibilities range from Teaching students necessary skills in Unity / Unreal Supporting students where necessary in partnership with our welfare teamManaging the games/course team and ensuring standards are kept.Adapting the course to ensure it is up to date Marking and assessing students throughout the coursesand much more!

My role involves working on the various projects that are currently being developed and to ensure that they are of high quality and free from any issues that would effect the consumer. Within my role we undertake various tasks such as - - Smoke Testing - Rating test - General bug testing - Multiplayer and online functionality - Various test cases These are just the main tasks within my role. I currently work with various platforms such as Playstation 4 , 3 and Vita as well as Xbox one and 360. I also work with the various Nintendo Platforms .

During my time as a member of the Adventure World team my role involves many different tasks as the Adventure Worlds all differ and all have various needs. This generally starts with concept design , quests and puzzle planning and creating a World GDD so all party’s are aware of what is needed and required from other teams.We place and create all puzzles and quests inside the hub and use the visual scripting and in house scripting language when and where we need to in our world to bring it to life. We also work with other departments such as code when we require more bespoke situations. We are in charge of bringing the world to life from placing the traffic system and Pedestrian network to setting up the various VO from pedestrians, Puzzles and quests. It’s our responsible to chase up any missing items or when we require new or existing assets to be added to the project. During the creation of the Worlds , we also ensure all issue are linked to relevant trackers , and we are able to chase any issue stopping us or the hub from being completed are raised. We also optimise the World and ensure it fits into the required budgets to perform on last-Gen consoles.

Sony Computer Entertainment was my first role within this industry , as it allowed me to get my foot in the door. Sony is a fantastic environment and I learnt an incredibly amount from the company and staff. Within my role I dealt with a number of tasks and issues ; - Explorative Bug finding - Test cases - Online and multiplayer testing - Basic device functionalityWhilst working at Sony, I worked on various projects that all had there own requirements and were in different stages of development.

I help in the Day to day running of the office as well as handling bookings and enquires aAt Events I can be doing a variety of jobs from the Photo Booth , Video Diary and Dj-ing as well. I am also the main video editor within the company and edit all Video Diary's from the various Video Booths we have. We also have a new Fun Casino for corporate events and party's .
