If you offer support to expats in your organization, you might have faced challenges like reducing the turnover rate of expats and repatriates, such as planning a good career development for repatriates. One of the main reasons for a high turnover rate of expats is the lack of personal support they experience when confronting loneliness, cultural shock, and lack of adaptability of their family members in the new country.In my experience, I have helped expats and their spouses who struggled with living and working in Switzerland and wanted to find new ways to fulfill their private and professional lives. In this manner, I helped them assimilate to their new surroundings and finish their mission. As a result, the organization was able to recover the investment of sending their employees abroad. For the last 24 years, in my role as an expat consultant and an expat-spouse coupled with my coaching background I have become uniquely qualified to assist and coach other expats who are experiencing this journey for the first time.As a coach, I conducted personal consultations to address issues that were blocking the expat and expat-spouse from a happy life in Switzerland. Some examples of these problems include cultural shock, employment seeking for the spouse, managing free time and feelings of isolation, dealing with a new language, people, and culture. Through life coaching for expats, I helped my clients to focus on what they really wanted to experience through this opportunity and how they wanted to get there. The coaching sessions were conducted in English, Spanish, and German and were supported with the best methods of psychological coaching.During the coaching sessions, my clients learned to create a new perception of their reality. I taught them how to begin a process of change that aligns with their values and capabilities. In my practical workshops, they were able to discover new ideas to be implemented as opportunities in their lives.

As a freelancer trainer, I conducted coaching training in psychological coaching in collaboration with a German Coaching School named ILP Aktiv GmbH.I held these workshops in German language and supervised the coaching interventions led by my students, so they could get feedback and improve their coaching skills and apply them to work. Many of my students had a 9 to 5 job and worked on a management level.This position helped me to train managers and team leaders on how they can coach their employees and support them in their professional development, as well as, how to guide them to achieve the results they needed.
