Directs overall operation of the 36 bed telemetry unit and is responsible for supervising and delivering quality patient care.Responsibilities include independent supervision of care delivery to patients in the nursing unit,assessment of patients needs and treatments.Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team (Dietician,Occupational Therapist,Physicial Therapist,Social Worker, Discharge Planner, Respiratory Therapist) and physicians to ensure continuity of patient care. Serves as a resource to staff providing assistance to nursing staff and physicians with direct patient care as needed. Serves as a role model and provides positive influence to facilitate change. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism.
