The Jimi Hendrix Foundation, a Washington State 501 (c)(3) charity commissioned in 1988 by Jimi Hendrix' father James "Al" Hendrix, has appointed Gregory Groeper as its new Marketing Director & Charitable Giving Coordinator. Greg is responsible for the Foundation’s market positioning, brand development, IP management, as well as fund raising projects, corporate partnership development & external communications with the press & corporate partners. Among his first campaigns are the development of Captain Strata, a character based on Jimi Hendrix and the Jimi Hendrix Walk of Love & Educational Center. Responsible for all sales and marketing aspects of the organization including artwork, mailings and bookings. Performed all technical aspects of operating recording studio. Earned Recording/Distribution Contract with ENJA Records, Munich; Performed with Jazz Greats like Bill Evans, Phil Woods, Woody Shaw, Mike Millello, etc.; As Booking / Sales Agent for group, achieved excellent sales ratios and remuneration for concert performances.

Performed all daily maintenance and operational engineering for non-commercial educational FM broadcast station. Wrote, directed, produced and engineered numerous radio spots, PSA’s and Promos. Provided on-air personality as the host of daily late night show, “The Jazz Emporium”. Worked with the Chief Engineer to supervise on-air staff to ensure proper compliance with all FCC regulations. FCC Licensed Broadcast Engineer; Increased listenership through clever marketing of station identity; Improved overall sonic performance of station; Ran remote broadcasts of college sports and fine arts performances.
