Tim founded Cargo & James Tea Inc. in 2001 and spent the one year establishing a plan to take the company national. He knew he had to ensure that processes and procedures were very well established prior to franchising. At the same time, Tim sparked an interest in direct sourcing teas for social and economic reasons and helped to build a garden that has since flourished, Doke Tea is now one of India’s largest exporter of tea to China. The business grew to hundreds of employees and trucks delivering groceries in Edmonton and Calgary. In 2000 the business was sold to Boardwalk Equities.
