I am leading a Hybrid Cloud initiative to modernize a critical, strategic platform at FedEx Ground. While still designing and developing software solutions, I am primarily focused on implementing technologies that enable speed and innovation. At the heart of this is Kubernetes, which we are using for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.

I was a tech lead for a critical modernization project that involved all FedEx operating companies (Express, Ground, Freight). I was a key contributor to the Java source code, a conduit for technical communications across companies, a driving force for the automated CI/CD process within our private cloud, and a mentor for many who were learning these important modernization technologies.

As a Senior Software Developer, my responsibilities greatly expanded across the company. I worked in a group that played a key role in the international market and regularly interacted with stakeholders around the world. I was a lead developer for a critical Java application that allowed FedEx to better compete in the international market. I worked on many enterprise integration solutions using Java and Tibco technologies. Later, I was key member of a team that developed a set of event-driven applications that eventually formed the foundation of the company's core processing systems.

I contributed to Java source code across many projects, working primarily on web services and integration to legacy systems. I also worked with JSF, Spring, WebLogic, and Oracle RDBMS.

I was promoted to Associate Programmer Analyst while still in college and immediately began working as a key developer on a new C# .NET application that was to replace an obsolete legacy system. I began working with Enterprise Java and learned much about enterprise integration, web frameworks, and service-oriented architecture.
