I love data analysis and problem solving, and I am a theoretical physicists. I work both with biological data and geo-spatial data, and both with structured and messy data.I started self-learning python in 2003. Now, after more than 10 years of experience I solve most of my data-related questions with the python numerical framework and a bit of, in house, C++ and openCL. Collaborative and enthusiastic colleagues, international environment, motivating project, innovative technologies, careers opportunities.Few words about my recent experiences:I did the PhD in Germany, in the Helmoltz research center of Julich and University of Cologne.During the PhD I focused on applied theoretical physics, analyzing and modeling data of biological origin to understand and explain the dynamics of sperm cells. Our findings are published in Nature Communications.After the PhD I wanted to challenge myself on a mostly pen&paper project, thus now I'm having some fun with non-linear elasticity.But I kept working on numerical/data oriented projects as well: now we also analyze the traffic flow of Paris (and soon of other cities) [https://github.com/astyonax/TimingParis & https://github.com/astyonax/heartbeat-traffic].
