About Gerson Sandoval

My career in Information Technology started with the Los Angeles Unified School District. This was a contract IT Service Desk position where I learned the basics of Active Directory, Azure AD, ticketing systems like ServiceNow, troubleshooting and more.After my contract ended with LAUSD, I obtained another contract position with Kaiser Permanente with the same title. Here, my team dove deeper into Active Directory. I was able to reset passwords, add access to end users and add users to groups. Using applications to remote into end points like BeyondTrust, I was able to resolve issues.By the end of the second year, through many months of self teaching and with the help of UCR's Cybersecurity Bootcamp program, I successfully obtained my most recent position with Crown Technical Systems as a Jr IT Systems Administrator. During my time here, we have resolved user issues, maintained the network along with VOIP, maintained our servers through dashboards and much more.Accomplishment: I was given the amazing opportunity to travel to Garland, Texas where I was trained on the installation and configuration of a Windows Server machine.
