The job entails the continued operation of INDEX C100 & C200 machines. The basics call for keeping an eye on the machine (or machines, as I've run anywhere from 1-3 at a time, including 4 on one occasion) as it manufactures parts, and adjust the tools within the machine as needed, should the dimensions of the part begin to shift. Tools will wear out the longer they run, so keeping an eye on when these tools need to be changed or are broken is of the utmost importance.Measuring the parts themselves calls for using myriad measuring devices. Simpler tools like micrometers, as well as more complicated devices like a CMM, profilometer, or anything in between.Additionally, after the first year of work, I began to take on setup, thereby tearing down and putting the machine back together so as to prepare it for a new part. This process is much more involved, calling for a more intimate knowledge of the different types of holders for machines, how to manipulate and read the programming language that runs the machines --G Code-- as well as the mechanical acumen to disassemble and reassemble an INDEX C-100 without breaking anything.

While I got my start way back in 2013 solely tackling reviews, my content contributions have branched out in the ensuing years to encompass features, op-eds, live event coverage, and interviews, and even the occasional film review.I have a long-standing series of interviews with composers around the industry spanning some 30 entries, and for a number of years wrote a monthly series on the best new game music around the world.My coverage has spanned all manner of games, from huge mega-blockbusters, down to the smallest of indies. With a wide range of interests, the collection of articles I have written may look eclectic, but they all stem from the same source of passion.
