Mr. Funk offers over 20 years of engineering experience, primarily involving the inspection, evaluation, design, rehabilitation and/or replacement of water transmission and distribution systems; said and storm sewer collection and conveyance systems; and sewer pump stations.Mr. Funk’s utility work includes roadway, subaqueous, and aerial utility crossings; large diameter pipeline design; regulatory compliance audits; and inspection, evaluation, and design support of sewer rehabilitation programs. His responsibilities typically encompass development of preliminary engineering reports; preparation of complete cost estimates, plans and specifications; construction administration; field engineering and inspection; and post-start up and certification.Mr. Funk offers particular expertise with utility conflict avoidance, relocation, and adjustment design for public and private clients. His past roles include Lead Project Engineer/Manager for on-call contracts with the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) for relocation of force mains and gravity sewers to eliminate conflicts with VDOT and municipal construction projects.
