My Responsibilities as Creative Design Manager at Rounded Edge Studio:Create a workflow structure with managers across the team.Review the daily work schedules of the Creative department.Manage and control project scope and change control processes.Help to define the internal documentation processes, and review and approve projects prior to delivery.Deliver regular, concise and considered project updates for team members and key stakeholders.Act as a point of contact for all project-related issues, including fielding questions and issues from internal clients and facilitating appropriate responses with the support of key team members.Manage the Studio’s annual leave calendar (working with HR).Manage resource across both permanent and freelance staff, including weekly resource hours, overall budget and working with HR and recruitment partners to find the most appropriate candidates

Appointed as interim Senior Creative Designer and within a few months become full time Senior Creative Design Manager and Studio Manager for Eve Products Ltd that designed and manufactured its own unique exhibition equipment. Manages team of 3 (Designers & Artworker). Reports to the MD. On appointment reviewed artwork and print procedures creating greatly improved workflow system with increased accuracy from artwork department resulting in reducing throwback rate i.e. not compatible to print from 65% to only 3% within 6-months. Introduced and organised implementation of an OSX server and set up company backup system and catalogue that improved speed and assurance on retrieving and reprinting existing work. Created and introduced a sales booking and briefing system using Acrobat that improved accuracy and productivity by 80% as jobs now more accurately conveyed what the client wanted. Set up a job wall, that was colour coded for each stage of the process e.g. booked in from sales, work in progress, waiting client approval, etc so that each job is identified where in the process it is resulted in providing accurate delivery information that significantly improved client relationships. Acted as Brand Manager for Eve Products successfully rebranding them to solve its market place position increasing brand awareness that Eve Products was the designer and manufacture of its own unique exhibition equipment able to offer bespoke design and build package for clients. Created and produced product related demonstration videos that helped show the company offered a better service to our client than our competitors and increased company profile as a highly respected distributor of exhibition equipment.

Set up Design and Marketing Company to provide design service to businesses allowing them to create a more professional marketing image to their current and prospective new clients. Developed concepts/designs taking projects from inception to completion and keeping within print/website/exhibition budgets and met tight deadlines across wide variety of print/graphics/exhibition projects including:4 – 8 page, 4-colour leaflets/brochures.Full colour advertisements in magazines.Designed new company Logos, stationary, business cards, Exhibition stand display boards and graphics.Companies/clubs and council worked for include: -Eve Products: Provided designs on regular basis before being offered full time position.Tigerprint/Hallmark: Created product designs for major account (M&S).Keighley Council: Projects included ‘Love Keighley’ campaign and ‘Ice Sculpture Weekend’.Acorn Football Club: Designing banners for outside club to generate support and sponsors.The Store Keighley: Mini seasonal catalogues for their products.MHE Lighting: Rebranding Company and 4 colour catalogue on new range of LED Lighting products for the bars and night club sector.

Appointed to manage all graphic design/artwork for a wide variety of products including adverts/advertorials for various media.Designed and created numerous graphics to be printed in various colours onto a large number of products offering the customer opportunity to choose design for the product that they liked.Set up a store selling 44 Ideas brands with support from Business Starts 1-year retail scheme.Designed and built e-commerce website maintaining an online and social media presence.

Appointed to manage Home and Stationery designs for M&S account.Supervised all design work from in-house design studio and freelancers, taking initial concepts and mood boards and creating product designs for a full product range.Worked with some of the world’s largest license companies (Disney, Marvel, FIFA and BBC) in creating fresh and original product ranges whilst following strict style guidelines.Created variety of typefaces in FontLab to fulfil a range of client briefs.
