Responsible for planning the long term development path, overall architecture, and documentation. Technologies include advanced robotics, Can Bus, parallel processing hardware. January 2007 to July 2008Project: Financial applicationWorked on Equity Business Management Systems: goal is to create Fannie Mae’s new accounting system after restatement of earnings. Worked on core accounting processing package, interfaced to Oracle 9 databases using a combination of Spring and Hibernate. Generated tests using JUnit framework. January, 2003 to August 2003Project: Linux-based image acquisition and telemetry system Lead effort in development of software control systems for CALROC 2003 rocket launch, part of NASA’s SECCHI Sun observation projects. Control systems include shutter and filter/sector mechanisms, CCD camera imaging, real-time telemetry download. Built an embedded Linux kernel to run on a standard CF (Compact Flash) card. Assigning personnel to projects, resources, etc. Coordinated with other departments to ensure hardware and mechanical needs meshed with software development. June, 1994 to June, 1999Project: Designed ultrasonic scanning and image processing system for DOS.Reused graphics framework and extended three-axis industrial motion control to nine-axis robotic control. Gathered customization requirements from a dozen different customers, performed many on-site installations.February, 1992 to June, 1994Project: Implemented ultrasonic scanning and image processing system for MS-DOS.Implementation language was C, but with simulated object-orientation (encapsulation, polymorphism, inheritance) and custom event-driven GUI.
