I am a graduate student researcher undertaking a PhD focusing on the intersection of conservation, climate and social challenges at Griffith University. My research has focused on understanding how different types of science and knowledge can enable or limit various landscape level management options and manage conflict between different user groups. I take a holistic approach to solving these problems and use a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to do this including questionnaires, interviewing, statistics and geospatial analysis. Additionally, I am an experienced environmental program coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental non-profit sector, specifically community outreach and the delivery of environmental education programs.I am passionate about science transparency and improving the the scientific literacy of communities so they can engage in local environmental issues with confidence. Throughout my career I aim to provide just, practical and accessible solutions to complex environmental and social issues through innovative and collaborative initiatives with people from all backgrounds, experiences and ways of knowing.I consider myself an amateur naturalist and you can often find me assisting ecologists with fieldwork as an excuse to get me outside and away from my computer screen.
