  • Ericsson
    Senior Scientist
    Ericsson Aug 2022 - Present
    Kista, Stockholm, Se
As a Senior Scientist at Ericsson, I lead efforts in scaling DNN models for Computer Vision across different continents, navigating complex data and privacy regulations. I've been instrumental in investigating new AI/ML algorithms, identifying high-impact smart factory use cases, and conducting successful proof-of-concepts to enhance telecom equipment manufacturing efficiency.
  • Ford Motor Company
    Research Scientist - Autonomous Vehicles
Ford Motor Company Dec 2012 - Aug 2022
    Dearborn, Michigan, Us
As a Research Scientist at Ford Motor Company, I've played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technologies - from conception to production.Starting from scratch, I've researched, developed and trained Computer Vision Deep Learning models for driver assist features, leading to a considerable increase in product value and over $500M+ in revenue. One of my significant contributions includes the design and deployment of Deep Learning-based models in production-ready vehicles specifically for Pro-Trailer Backup Assist feature. This initiative, which I led from the ground up, has resulted in over $24 million per year in savings and a reduced reliance on traditional Computer Vision algorithms and other sensor usage.I've been instrumental in advancing collision avoidance technology, developing a system from inception to production using 2D Object Detection by RetinaNet architecture and distance estimation by camera intrinsic and extrinsic matrix. My groundbreaking research and development work in scalable techniques in Deep Learning architecture for measuring prediction confidence/uncertainty & prediction statistics has led to the deployment of this technology in production vehicles for Pro-Trailer Backup Assist feature. This effort, which involved multiple stages from initial concept to final implementation, has resulted in multiple patent filings.I've streamlined and automated the training pipeline, which I built from the ground up. This included the use of data augmentation & data annotation, leading to faster model development and saving months of development time.I've contributed to the innovation and improvement of Ford's products. I've designed and developed Big Data software tools for transmission anomaly detection and statistical optimization. These tools, which I led from conception to implementation, have resulted in significant savings, efficiency improvements, and a reduction in warranty claims.
