The Director of Development will be responsible to overseeing fundraising and implementation of strategies to increase private support for Family Housing Advisory Services, Inc. This professional will design, implement and maintain a comprehensive private funding program to include annual campaign, corporate foundation, public, private, and government grants; major gifts, and planned giving; and an effective marketing plan for the organization. Provide leadership for annual and special events.

• Participate as a facilitator for the Community Partnerships for Protecting Children’s (CPPC) – “Race: the Power of an Illusion” (RPI) Learning Exchange – as requested by coordinator.• Collaborate and participate in process improvement procedures to increase the impact of RPI on the child welfare system.• Review and offer revision suggestions to improve RPI materials as requested by coordinator or the Iowa Department of Human Services.• Participate in Train-the-Trainer workshops to remain up to date on curriculum and issues related to disparity and disproportionality.• Serve as a mentor to facilitators as requested.• Assist in the training process for facilitators by providing insight into curriculum, support in the learning process, and direct feedback during de-briefing sessions as requested.
