As a psychology intern, I was in charge of conducting the daily activities of the patients in the adult daycare at the hospital. Additionally I was tasked with assisting the Resident and Senior Psychiatrists in the In Patient and Out Patient units. This internship also involved collecting additional information from the residential patients and attending the weekly case study sessions with all the other mental health professionals.

Centre for Social Action (CSA) is an NGO that focuses on women and child empowerment. The organisation has an active student volunteer body. I was part of a 5 member team that established a branch of this NGO in a new campus and operated as a student volunteer and leader within the organisation to over 200 individuals.

As a Counseling intern I assisted the resident Psychologist with their regular patients as well as their visiting consultations in hospital departments such as the ICUs and Neurology. Additionally, approaching and determining the mental wellbeing of long term patients and collecting any and all psychological case histories was one of my responsibilities.
